Somerset Christian School (SCS) is a non-denominational Christian school providing a quality academic program instructing the whole child - physically, mentally and spiritually.

Somerset Christian school is now offering traditional classes or all students, Pre-Kindergarten through twelfth grade. All teachers are state certified and confess Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Extra curricular  activities include Elementary, Middle and High School Basketball, Cheerleading, EchoVenture, Scrabble Team, Spanish Club and Yearbook.

Pre-Kindergarten

FEE STRUCTURE AND INFORMATION

Somerset Christian School (SCS) offers three day, four day, or five day Pre-Kindergarten programs from 8:00 am to 11:45 am for children who are four (or five) years old and potty-trained.


Five-Day Programs - $3000 or $250/month for 12 months

Four-Day Programs - $2500 or $208.25/month for 12 months

Three-Day Programs - $2000 or $166.75/month for 12 months


Enrollment Fee - $35/student (one-time fee)


***If your child needs daycare for the afternoons, the rate is an additional $12.00/day or $5.00/hour, whichever is less.



Tuition: Tuition is due the fifth day of the month, starting July 2020. Monthly payments will be accepted on a twelve-month plan. If payment is not received by the 10th, a $25 late fee is assessed. We accept check, cash and credit card. (Cred card users are charged a 3% processing fee.)


Discounts: The first months' tuition is due July 1, 2020. If you choose to pay your full tuition in advance, you will receive the following discounts: Paid in Full by July 1 - 5% off


Attendance: If you child is in the three-day program, s/he may come in an extra day to make up for a day they are absent. Arrangements need to be made in advance and will only be permitted if there is availability. There is no daily rate for Pre-Kindergarten; if you miss a day, your tuition will not be adjusted.


Parent Hours: Pre-K parents are required to complete 10 parent hours per school year. These parent hours help provide staffing at fundraising events, which in turn helps to offset the costs that tuition does not cover.

Scholarships: Scholarships are available once a year through the Tax Credit Scholarship program, which is funded via Education Improvement Tax Credits (EITC) and participating businesses, the WPA K-12 Education Scholarship Fund and the Gary Wayne Shaffer Scholarships. Deadline to apply for the scholarship is April 30, 2018.


Technology Fee: A fee of $100 per student is grades 1st-12th is charged to offset our technology expenses. This fee is not eligible for discounts but may spread out over twelve months as part of a payment plan.


Parent Hours: All families (K-12) are required to complete 20 parent hours for the school to help keep operating costs down. Parent hours may be completed between July 2020 and May 31, 2021. Families must have a minimum of half their service hours completed by January 31st to be eligible for priority registration for the next year. All parent hours must be completed before May 31st to be eligible for re-enroll. If hours are not completed by May 31st, you will be billed $15.00 per hour for each remaining hour.
