Our Mission
SCS seeks to implement its purpose and mission by hiring faculty members who profess Christ as Savior and Lord and are qualified to teach the level and subject to which they are assigned.
SCS asks its parent body to support the purpose and mission of the school by actively praying for the school and its students and faculty, by actively taking part in the ongoing programs of the school, and by taking prime responsibility at home for the spiritual upbringing and accountability of their children.
SCS is a mission school in several dimensions: it depends upon the faithful support of those who share its goals to continue; it stands in opposition to a culture which has forsaken its spiritual roots; and it specifically targets the next generation of believers to stand for Christ.
A three-fold mission
To bring children to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ
To disciple children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord
To provide a superior Biblical education instructing the whole child
Statement of Faith
We Believe the Following:
The Bible is God’s Word: inspired, authoritative, inerrant.
There is one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His resurrection, His ascension to the Father, His personal return in power and glory.
The absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation, that every person is justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ, that only by God’s grace and through faith alone can we be saved.
The resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved to the resurrection of life; they that are lost to the resurrection of damnation.
The spiritual unity of believers in Christ.
The present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
