Who we are
Somerset Christian School is a nondenominational Christian school that works to bring every student to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Our students come from approximately 26 different churches within our community. We have a strong, well rounded curriculum that teaches a rigorous academic content along with biblical principles. We teach students in grades PreK-12th grade utilizing an up to date Christian Curriculum taught by a group of talented teachers. Also, along with our academic focus, we come alongside students to teach about the importance of serving others and giving back to our community.
We believe that it is our calling to embrace the need to teach children in an environment that teaches the whole child. We are addressing the needs of each child: spiritually, academically, emotionally, as well as meeting their physical needs. We are focused on students progressing as a whole, not "teaching to the test" or speeding through concepts to meet deadlines. We make sure students get the instruction needed to fully grasp the information taught. Our students are taught to be analytical thinkers and well-rounded individuals. Although we do not "teach to the test," our students continue to score above their peers on average (Utilizing IOWA & Cogat assessments).
